I am Monya and I am Passionate about Motherhood.

In 2016 I went full time into photography and in 2018 opened my first studio in Edenvale, End of 2023 I moved to Randburg where my studio was moved to a cozy and tranquil boutique home studio. And then in 2024 i decided to cut back on studio shoots and focus more on authentic home based documentary lifestyle photo shoots.

Growing my business (Yes, i do this full time) has been a fun journey. This is my source of income and i do run my photography business as a business. Yes, It is my business.

What makes each of us unique? What defines us? What inspires us?

When I pick up my camera and find my subject in the viewfinder, I am transported into the frame – I take in the scene, the subject, the colours, the emotions. I watch for the right moment to press the shutter and at the perfect time... click! A moment in time captured in a perfect pose.

Photography is my art form, minimalist with a bit of sprinkle here and there. I enjoy the simple comforts in life, with a dash of coffee - good old caffeinated coffee. My clients, with their hopes and dreams, mean the world to me. We are all unique and I aim to capture this in my images.  

I love working with Tiny Humans. My clients have called me ‘The Baby Whisperer’ and ‘The Cake Smash Guru’.

I’m a mom of two beautiful (and very active) kids. I believe in family first, so you might see my kids around at times. And my working hours are sometimes restricted. I still remember what it was like to hold them straight after birth, and the special feelings that come with those first precious moments. Some days, I miss having a babe in arms. But working with your little ones, fills this ‘miss’ for me.

My kids love taking photos and they’re pretty obsessed with selfies, but thank goodness they haven’t asked for selfie sticks – yet! They are active and curious children; they keep me on my toes. I know how chaotic life can be...

But let’s take a moment to savour everything that life is, a moment to breathe and to experience the little things. In the instant I click my shutter, this moment – your moment - becomes a memory your loved ones can share.

* The idea of a movie on the big screen (going to the movies is a treat)
* Reading a good book until the early morning hours
* Going on adventures in nature with my kids
* Wasting time in the garden...I have a BIG pot plant collection!
* Coffee, and more coffee!
* Traveling – I would love to travel more...
