Cake smash cake, cake, cake, cake

Its messy, I am not going to lie! Its a mess and the more baby enjoys the session, the more the mess! And not to worry, no need for you to worry about cleaning up, I will take care of it all afterwards.

Some babies are big wild smashers and others are quite and content smashers. Every one year old who comes into my studio is different, with their big or shy smiles. Cuteness overload.

What is included in the smash cake photoshoot?

I provide everything for the smash cake photography session. There are certain ways I like to setup, mix & match colors. And a certain way I like my cake to be, the perfect readiness to be smashed away...hopefully into pieces.

When you make an inquiry with me, I will send you all the details on what is covered in the different package options, cake smash outfits to choose from, smash cake ideas to be discussed in order for me to design the right setup just for your baby.

What if baby cries?

There is always the possibility and we work carefully within baby's readiness. I try and read baby's Q's best I can to see when we need to be quite or when we can try do something funny to get a smile. Sometimes a smile can very quickly turn into a cry. I have rescheduled a cake smash before, if time allowed for the next day or if parents were willing to pay for a new fresh cake a few days later. But in all honestly, the 2nd time round does not go much better than the first time.

In my booking e-mail I do make some suggestions on how to prepare baby for a cake smash. And it also has A LOT to do with their personalities and how often they meet new people. Some babies are more shy and reserved and others are more bubbly and so friendly they will almost go to any stranger...for a short period. Some babies smile a lot during their session and others are quite content to smash the cake but not give one smile.

In the end, I try capture them as best I can for who they are at this age in their young life's. We are individuals and so are one year old babies as well.
